Sadly the forms that are used most are copyrighted creations of the California Association of Realtors, so we can't disseminate them... My local association won't even sell the forms to non-licensees.

It's pathetic what these organizations feel the need to do to "protect" the income of their members.

You are stuck. It doesn't matter that there was a verbal agreement at all. The verbal agreement won't hold up because it doesn't stand up to the Statute of Frauds. I suggest you pay up.

Not only should you be charged with Insurance Fraud, you can also be sued for recovery of the $5,000, legal and court costs.

The situation is quite clear, you breached the agreement with the medical provider regardless of what excuse you now use to justify the spending of monies you were not entitled to have.

Using money that is not yours, and that you have already agreed in writing to pay directly to someone else, is called theft. I suggest you find a way to pay them whatever they ask.
If this goes to court, you will be found guilty. Criminal charges could also put you in jail if this goes to your district attorney.

If you can prove that the seller knowingly concealed defects in the house, then the statute of limitations does not apply. However, this may not be as easy as it sounds.

First, the law regarding real estate transactions in Ohio is caveat emptor ( buyer beware). The seller is only obligated to disclose latent defects, or defects not readily discovered through a reasonable inspection. And the seller must allow a potential buyer an unimpeded opportunity for inspection.

For example, if you see some puddles in the basement, the court would view that as a trigger for you to do a further inspection before purchasing. If the seller tries to block you from doing any further inspections, then they could be held accountable for concealment.

You don't specify what exactly you were lied to about, so I can't give you any more info other than that. You should probably consult an attorney. Good luck

You need to contact a real estate attorney. I personally would not sell without an agent, though. Too much liability and work to save 5-6% on a house you probably have a lot of equity in. You will have to pay an attorney as well. There are too many buyers around these days just looking for a lawsuit. Gets worse every year. Good luck.

It depends, if you have home insurance and which company. If you have USAA, then its covered under their "All other Perils" if it was broken by an accident (not by the mother-board frying etc. . . ). Call your insurance company and ask.

If you have a warranty they may fix it for you, but if you broke it beyond repair, and want a new one, it will only be if they except your claim, which usually means there was an error on their part, if you broke it and can't prove it had a factory-related problem, don't bet on it.

If you had it insured, them you might be able to.

However, if you went into a random insurance agency (say, for home/auto insurance) and told them you wanted a new laptop, they'd probably just laugh.
